Luke Question

Aside from the BFR is there more than one model?
Signature, Vintage?...... Ad's online have me confused.

There are only the standard Luke's and the BFR series. The 'Luke' guitar is Steve Lukather's Signature Series

The original Luke's had the Floyd Rose Trem system but have been discontinued, and theres the very limited Dargie Delight 1 & 2 models that were only available to order during a certain period

From time to time there are limited editions like the upcoming roasted maple / Black Sugar finish instruments. In the past there have been a variety of limited editions with special options (eg. all rosewood necks) or special colours (eg Dargie green, Blue Dawn, Buttercream etc) but these normally apply to most EBMM models, not just Lukes.

Now I get it....Saw a Luke advertised as a vintage, others were signature models or BFR.. That caused some confusion. So a signature model is a vintage.

Both regular and BFR Lukes are signature models of Steve Lukather. Actually both versions also have the vintage trem

This confused me... I'm in the zone now.. Just wanted to be sure I knew what my option are. I will be making my purchase in a week or so. Pete's got a Pearl White I like and communicated with him about.. Theirs a NOS metallic gray on ebay with a Piezo for the same money.. Maybe I'll reach for a BFR.. depends on price and color. I'm open to suggestions.

OMG I just played a BFR Luke at GC in Bakersfield, CA. It is a metallic reddish color. What a sweet guitar. I almost threw down my GC credit card!! I had to exert extreme willpower.

So the BFR is all that compared to the Signature?

I think it felt a lot like my signature but the color was awesome and the neck wood was cool. I do however like the maple neck on the signature. I honestly think that either guitar is great.
