Luke rocks in the uk

A few of us from Strings and Things went to see Luke last night at The Brook
in Southampton UK.
WOW! that guy gets more awesome every time I see him play and the band he had were spectacular, 2 and a 1/2 hours of pure pleasure.

He's in Wolverhampton at Robin 2 tonight, I can recommend those who are near to get there and have fun.

I'm not gigging tonight so managed to get tickets for The Robin 2......taking my dad who's also a big Knucklehead - can't wait!

I was at the Brook too in the balcony and as you said he was awesome and clearly enjoying himself.His antidotes between songs were particulary funny and did his Michael J impersonation which was brilliant.The whole band almost went through the entire EBMM catologue of models and colours but Steve used the spangly black one and green one the most and boy that koa one looks the dogs danglies.What can i say about the band,the drummers is brilliant,the bass player was getting some of the best noises ive ever heard out of his rig,the second guitarist was adding some very tastful layers to whole set and the keyboard player was doing a fine job of "MD"ing the band.
Dont expect too many old Toto favorites and the emphasis was definatly more jazz rock with a few other musical genres added.He made several references to "Jeff "and played his song which had all the hairs on the back on my neck stick up and clearly played with total passion,sensitivity and much fondness for his much missed friend and mentor.
All in all,take it from me,the band has taken this to a whole new level of musical competence.

I saw his ECT (no jazz) show here last year and I'm hoping he/they come back someday fairly soon. I was very impressed with Steve, the person and the musician, and the terrific band.

Just got back home........thoroughtly impressed with Luke the person, Luke the guitarist and Luke the musician.....(and Luke the comedy act!).

Top night, great band....
