Man, now I want to go see SD when they hit Detroit later this summer. Touring with Michael McDonald ought to make it even more special.

Okay, I listened to it once all the way through...though not in order. Morse was first, Luke second. Then all the other cuts.

Cool project but I still much prefer Donald and Walter's versions. Hard to explain but there's actually too much guitar playing for my taste which sounds weird seeing as how all of us on the forum love the guitar.

The thing about Steely Dan for me at least, is that their songs are crafted so exquisitely with such attention to detail it seems like all instruments play so perfectly for just the right amount of time.

My favorite on the first pass was actually THE FEZ. I'll listen again this weekend. All the guitarists do good work.

I can agree with that too. Like I mentioned before, I love Jimmy Herring's playing and he does a real nice job on that tune. It's definitely one of my favorite cuts on the album (with the Morse and Luke tunes), and it stays more true to the original form.

For more Jimmy Herring goodness, check out his Aquarium Rescue Unit or Project Z stuff (if you havent already) He's a monster!
