For those who have both, how do they compare???
Have a True Gold and it has the best neck i have ever played, but I think it's time for an LIII...

You talking about the LIII rosewood neck I assume or the new roasted/oiled neck?

Sorry, I only have the LIII (rosewood neck) so I can't compare it to the true gold. I would however venture to say its probably extremely close in feel with the exception of the hand sanding/finishing process which even the same model can feel slightly different.

By spec, they should be the same. But, as mtrejo said, there will be variations due to the hand sanding. I don't think there's a way to generalize one model's neck versus the other. I have both guitars and as between those two, specifically, my TG Luke has less of a v shape and is more rounded. My LIII has a soft v carve. Not sure if that answers your question.

Can't comment on The Lukes. However, comparing my all rosewood ASS to my all maples; they are slightly different in smoothness. I would assume that if you like your True Gold, the LIII would be equally good. C'mon, it's an EBMM, they all play like Butta.........
