Very interesting. Is this what he's taking to his smaller gigs / overseas gigs when he can't take the rack?

I wonder if he changes stuff around a lot? He was using Providence stuff previously on some gigs.

Can anyone name whats on that board?

Ah! This is the board that he and Bob Bradshaw worked on so he can change stuff when he wants to and it saves a ton when he ships his rig.

I wonder what that mystery CAE box is at the top? Looks like an overdrive / distortion pedal of some kind. Maybe a pedal version of the CAE pre?

Next a Ibanez TS9, followed by 3 Hardwire DL8 Delay/loopers then a Hardwire CR7 Stereo Chorus.

Dunno what that metal box above the Hardwire tuner is?

All controlled by the CAE foot controller.

This is a very nice small, switchable, stereo rig!

Very cool Hiro! Didn't know CAE had Japan only effects! I'll have to research that :)

So I'm guessing that all of his dirty tone comes straight out of the amp(s)? Any info on what he was using as his stage amp?

I've had the hardwire chorus and reverb pedals on my list for some time now to add onto the blackstar ht-5 head once I get it. They sound real nice! Nice little versatile setup there.

Hiro, how do you find all of these great Lukather-related pics? Thanks for posting this one.

Those Hardware pedals are super nice. A buddy of mine bought one of the delays the other day...VERY impressive. I can see why Luke wants multiple ones on his board, because the features seem endless.

Does anybody think its weird that he doesn't have an EB wah or volume pedal on his board? I guess past EB guitars and strings he uses whatever he wants to use though...
