Hey guys...

Anyone get a good look at what pedal Luke was using in Dallas? It sounded pretty sweet and im racking my brain trying to figure out/remember what it was.

all i remember is that it was green

Is that a Tube Screamer? Anyone know which model?... and also what's the deal with the Tube Screamers and the Maxons? I heard Maxon made em all...

anywho. im on the lookout for a good pedal and i definately dug Lukes tone in Dallas and figured i should try one of those out at the store and see how they sound when its me playing thru it

Arin- it was a TS-9 but who knows which vintage, if he had it modded, etc. Most of the tone came from his Marshall and that thing just helped slam the input stage a bit.

I have an Analogman modded TS-9 from years back- can't say I've used it in recent years, just too much of a midrange hump for me (and doesn't suit my amp that much), but definitely a cool pedal. If you're interested in one lemme know.

My tennis shoes

Hey guys,
The tennis shoes never had laces. they are slip on's. My wife gets them for me and my son. Like cool slippers, very comfortable.
That green pedal is a Tube Screamer that was custom made for me by a japanese guy when I was playing with Larry carlton at the Blue Note Tokyp many years ago. He made one for me and opne for larry and they both sound different. its very smooth not fuzzy and has a nice punch for solo's. I use when I jam with Biff baby's or i am sittin at a club and dont wanna lugg at the B.S around. I dig it, its a one of a kind.
Hope you guys are getting ready for a nice holiday season. I cant believe another year has come and gone...
Here's to a great 2007!

I really like my Maxon SD-9. I think that I got it after I saw Luke's Tube Screamer in Dallas. Sounds best with the tone almost all the way down. Works like really nice lead boost or gives great medium-distorted tone. Pretty sweet pedal, I think. I kind of wish I waited to try out a Keeley-modded Tube Screamer, but still, I'm pretty happy with the Maxon.
