Hi guys.

My name is Anndra and I've been playing bass since about 1977ish, but only recently discovered the wonder of MusicMan basses.

I play a white Sterling with matched headstock and white pearloid guard, a Candy apple Red Stingray with maple board and 3 band EQ and have a white Stingray with matched headstock and white pearloid guard due to arrive in my lo-freeqed life in early November. What a wait for this baby - ordered in Glasgow in August!

I play in an original music band doing heavy dub funk and also in a cover band to make cash to feed my bass fetish :D

Other than the MusicMan basses I also own and love to play three Ric basses of varying model and vintage - my fave being a '73 4001 Jetglo complete with toaster.

As a direct result of finding MusicMan all of my Fender basses will be departing as they are now redundant. Except the Aerodyne which gets to stay because it's extremely light and looks cooler than...

I'm looking forward immensely to finding out all I can about my new basses and MusicMan basses in general. The history, the legend, how to record them best, live sound detail...anything and everything!

I would hang on to those Fenders if I was you but then I am a bit of a black hole when it comes to basses. I have never sold one.Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome guys - I should immediately correct the erroneous statement that my Candy Apple Red Stingray has three band eq. In fact it has two, the three bands belonging to the soon come white Stingray.

Can't say it's hurting to be looking forward to comparing the two side by side!

u think you could maybe get a pic of Nessy playing one fo your Stingrays? :)

If Nessie ever dares to so much look at them the wrong way I'll...I'll...I'll let her do just as she wishes....

I'm brave after a fashion, but not so reckless as to dice with monsters.

The 1540 looks like the SVT Classic 8x10, but it has 4 10s on top of a 15.

that sounds like it has potential to kick ass. problem with those big cabs is you gotta buy a van to lug the stuff around. at least with some finese a 4x10 has a hope of fitting into the bac of SOME sedans ...

The SVT1540HE is an awesome cab for both tonal and volume delivery. But - and it's a fair sized but - it weighs over 150lb! It really needs three people to move it around due to both bulk and it's weight and that's not always an option.

So, for smaller gigs in bars I have a Peavey Megabox for use. Again, an excellent cab for tonality with the advantage of it actually fitting into the boot of my car.

I'd like an Ashdown 4x10 cab, but I'm brassic lint due to recent investments in MusicMan basses.

Not complaining!

I got rid of the big Ampeg years ago.It was just too much to haul around. At the time we had a Hammond player with a bad back so we had to lug that and the Leslie around too. It's a miracle that my back is ok today.

What he says + 2. You certainly have the basses to let you have fun. Now have some fun here with the whole bunch of us that are some of the lucky Basstur* on earth owning EBMM basses. Welcome
