Ink erasers are a bit more abrasive and might work better for serious gungage on the contacts.

Bass fixed with eraser. Sounds like Macgyver kind of fix.
Actually erasers do work well for cleaning contacts. Just make sure you clean up the crumbs .

Wouldn't have done my old drummer any good if he had a car. He couldn't see anyway!!
(his only issue though, was being left handed)
