Help! Majesty 6 Ember Glow Battery problems

Hi,

I bought a Music man Majesty 6 Ember Glow brand new just over a year ago, I’m having issues with batteries. I replaced the old batteries with brand new ones (Duracell) but the red light kept flashing and no sound was coming out of the guitar. Thinking that something was wrong with the batteries got a brand new set, it worked but within 20 mins of playing the sound from the guitar dropped, so I went to check the batteries and found them to be very hot, so hot that I couldn’t hold them in my hands. Of course I took them out of the guitar immediately. What is causing this? And how can I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whoa. The finish is supposed to be Ember Glow, not the batteries ...

Perhaps something is shorting out here. Rather than try another set, I think you should contact Customer Service right away and get their feedback. Link is in my signature.

If you are in the UK you need to contact your dealer who will fix this under warranty. Hot batteries mean a short circuit somewhere and all the battery power is draining very rapidly to the wrong place.
