Well what can I say? It's hands down the best guitar i've had the pleasure of owning. It's gorgeous, dynamic and a blast to play! EBMM for life!

That's so awesome! Glad you got one! I just bought my second EBMM guitar about a month ago, the JP13. I wanted to get a Majesty, but it seemed everyone had them on backorder and I was impatient! Grr...I should have waited. I want a Majesty badly! I really like the new finishes too! What finish did you choose?

Wow Devin! That's awesome!!! Welcome to the Majesty Owners Club. I clicked on your link but got a broken link. What finish did you get? I know you were leaning towards the Arctic Dream finish. If so, you'll love it.

I'm gonna make a thread about this over at SSO in a little while, but after having my JP13 7 since mid 2013 and my Majesty 7 since June-ish of this year, I gotta say - and this is not the popular opinion - I like the JP13 more. I recently joined a metal band and I can finally get LOUD and rock out. While the Maj is miles better than most guitars, it just feels too insubstantial comparatively. I know some people like light-weight guitars, and this is definitely the guitar for that crowd or those with bad backs; but the lack of heft has it's tonal and feel consequences. To a degree, it's ineffable qualities I'm trying to describe, but important and very real IMO.

This is my main complaint with most NGD posts; most people, myself included, generally post when we first get the guitar or shortly thereafter. We don't generally have time to really put the axe through its paces.

Anyway, point is, if you have the 13, you have the better guitar IMO. In fact, I'm considering putting my Maj up for sale in order to acquire another 13 (maybe a rosewood neck number... I dunno).

The Maj is definitely a work of art, beautiful guitar, and amazing instrument. But the weight of the guitar does not play well with string tension... I think. Like I said, it's hard to describe. It still SOUNDS good (though admittedly not AS good or brutal as the 13) but it just has a bit of an insubstantial feel to it. But if that's your cup of tea, then hey; have at it :)

I had the Majesty 7 for about a month and traded it in! Heresy, I know, but it was my first 7 string and I just was not wrapping my head around it :(

I have a 6 string JP 13 Emerald that I love to the moon and back. It's like flying the Starship Enterprise.

PS I have a gold Maj 7 string on order - decided to get back in to it in honor of a loved one who passed away recently (my daughter) who gave me a Dream Theater tab book for a gift...

Thanks man! It's the best club to be part of in my humble opinion ;). I did end up finding a good deal on a arctic dream so I got the upgraded finish!

I checked my Instagram and it was private so I remembered that if anyone would like to see a couple 15 second samples.

Everything's recorded using the iPhone 6 camera and mic. I'm using garage band and my iMac built in speakers. Waiting on my studio monitors to come in.

I couldn't think a better object to have in remembrance of someone. I hope you both find comfort anytime you create music.
