Majesty 7 - Noticing more buzzing lately

I've been noticing more fret buzz lately than when I got my Majesty back in July. It has been noticably colder lately. I'm in Rochester, NY. Is it normal to notice something like this with changing weather? Should I be considering some truss rod adjustment. I've never done those myself. Thoughts?

Hi Jon,

I had the same issue and did a truss rod adjustment. It solved the problem. I had never don't a truss adjustment and was a little apprehensive, but it was simple. Just remember where you started and turn the adjuster a little at a time. That way you can always do back to where you started if for some reason it doesn't solve the buzzing.

Every time the weather changes drastically I have to adjust the trust rod on my electric guitars. A fairly normal thing as wood shrinks and expands with humidity/temperature/etc...

As an aside, I've noticed this much more with higher end instruments...for whatever that's worth.

Cool thing about MM guitars is the truss rod is so easy to adjust.

I've found mine needs an adjustment a couple times a year usually corresponding to a change in weather.

Agreed. Although my Majesty 7 requires me to adjust it more frequently than my other EBMM guitars during the winter months, that's all that is required to eliminate the buzzing. Normally a quarter turn or less in my case.

it could be due to thicker string gauge aswell, did you up your gauge recently? that also decreases the action so to speak.
did the truss rod adjustment fix it already?
