I am looking for a replacement of the majesty bridge baseplate. I’ve used this guitar in 100s of gigs for over 6 years straight and now the knife edge of the baseplate has eroded. As a result the bridge does not return to equilibrium after using, so the tuning does not stay stable. Everything else works great. I checked the website but couldn’t find any parts. Can anyone enlighten me to which way I could find this? I’m currently touring the USA with a Luke 3 BFR but I’d really like to collect this part before I have to go back by end of Oct.

Hi there!
I would use a proper file to sharpen the knife-blade worn edges.
The tremolo should return to be 100% working fine.
EBMM spare parts tend to be expensive and hard to find/order.
You can find a dealer that could order a new baseplate there in the USA, but you've to be sure the part will arrive in time before you leave while you're still around.
And be prepared to spend some money.

I would also remember to use a lubricant on the tremolo. Dry knife edges wear. There are many dry lubricants that work great, and stay in place.

Sometimes, a little bit of cocoa butter does the trick very well!
A little bit on the pivots and a little bit on knife-blade edges and here we go.

Buying replacement parts from EBMM is downright abusive. I think that trem plate is $300+ U.S. and they require you send the old one in FIRST. I won't ever buy a used EBMM again due to that, which I'm sure is their goal in the first place.

I can't comment on the costs, but they don't want used parts ending up on the second hand market, thus the request for the originals back.

That can be understandable. But...
If I buy a guitar and pay for it, that guitar is mine....parts included, since I paid for those parts, they are not rented or loaned to me.
If I need a spare, I buy a new part...but the used one it's my property.
I never seen such a strange policy about spare parts, to be honest...
You want the old part back? Sounds good: you've to pay me for it, then.
EBMM has high prices on new instruments and on spare parts too, we know that.
One can accept this, because of high level of instruments and brand's reputation.
But some things are not 100% shareable and spare parts management is one of those to me.

I think of them as replacement parts for non-functional items, not "spare parts". If you're replacing a dead preamp, broken neck, rusted bridge, etc. then it has no real value to buy back. And they only sell direct replacements for the same items, so it's not like you can exchange something for a different color, material, etc. Anyhow, this is how they do it ... it's not really something you can debate.

Back on topic ... hope the OP can get a quick resolution.

beej, I don't want to debate.
It's useless, I know.
That's just my personal opinion, as a EBMM instruments lover, owner and user.
But...just a last note: if we're speaking of broken/worn unusable parts, for the same reason they shouldn't worry about parts in the used market...since those parts wouldn't be sold to anyone (except to an idiot, of course).
But one would keep those original parts for other reasons, like giving them with the instument in case of sale.
Ok, back in topic.
