Hi... I just bought a new music man Majesty and I noticed that at the top of the neck where the white dots are in the stainless steel frets you can see some kind of white stains around each fret, don't know if its glue or something else. I was seeing some pics of other Majesty guitars on the internet and I don't see these stains. Some frets look worse than others. I don't see this at the bottom of the neck. I already sent this to CS but I just wanted to know if you've seen this or if this is normal?....Thanks!

I'd wait and see what CS says. While we're here, why not post a full guitar pic? Iced Crimson?

That's just the finish bubbling from the wood contracting. You can probably get a refund, but every guitar will do that if the finish goes around the fret ends.

I have that same thing on my JP11 around the nut. It's inevitable. Sorry :( But I can assure you it does not affect the play or tone of the guitar in the slightest - just a bit of a mindf*** knowing how much you paid and it STILL happens lol.

Cheers!

Here are some pics, I love it, iced crimson looks better in person than in photos! But yes you can notice those stains right away :(

just to re-iterate; they're not stains, they're air bubbles :)

BTW, I love your pics of that guitar. It looks like a nicer color than everyone else's overly produced versions. It looks dark and rich in your pics, which is more like the color looks in real life (to my eyes, anyhow).

I know that this will not affect the sound but just want to know if later these air bubbles can break, become worse or if it could affect the wood in the future... I'be been saving for this guitar for so long (2 years) so i just dont want this to become worse when time passes and I dont have warranty anymore... And thanks Majtastic Voyage, I just took this with my phone haha!

Same as Majtastic, mine had this happen around the nut, and it never got any worse. (And I wouldn't trade it for anything!!):D

I have a teeny bit of that where the nut is inserted into the neck. I've had the guitar 13 months now, never gotten worse, not had any issues.

Thank you all for your replies, it seems that most of you have this around the nut, in my case I actually don't have this around the nut, but I have it around each fret as you can see in the last pics I posted.. I think I had bad luck :(
