Question Majesty neck warped. Do I buy another?

I've owned a majesty for almost two years now. Definitely my favorite guitar to play, however, I have had some serious hardware issues. The first Arctic Dream Majesty I bought new got a hairline paint crack after owning it for only 2 weeks. The replacement I got for it had a neck that never seemed right, but I just dealt with it until recently when the issue became very much a problem. The Neck warped so that you would have a bow on the lower strings and a hump on the higher strings. Also, when you sited the neck, you would see that it was straight from the body till around the 17'th fret which is where the hump or bow would start (depending on how you adjusted the trus rod). Fortunately, I bought Guitar Center's Pro Coverage and after verifying my issue, they are sending me a check for the original purchase price 18 months after original purchase. All that said, I want another Majesty, but want to know if I just happened to get two lemons or is there a theme going on here. My guitars never leave my home and my EBMM JP15 and PRS Custom barely need any neck adjustment ever. The Majesty on the other hand suffered extreme seasonal changes.

We don't really hear many complaints like that here, so this is likely an isolated neck issue. But if you have concerns, I would contact the customer service folks and have a heart to heart with them about it.

I’d second that, it sounds you’ve been very unlucky with a twisted neck.
On the whole you don’t see all that many problems with musicman guitars but they are made of wood so there will inevitably be issues somewhere down the line with certain instruments.
If you’ve been refunded in full and feel confident in musicman then I’d definitely go for another.

Just for the info.. I had the same problem with my Majesty 2014 model, 7 string, in Siberian Sapphire. Had back bow and loose truss rod issues. Had to return it back to the store after 6 months of indoor usage. I think something was wrong with the old models.. cause I have seen lots of people complaining about the neck's lack of stability. I am pretty sure if you open up a thred you will see lots of people verifying that. But i am a huge MM lover. Got a JP6 and a JP7 which are absilutely crazy stable. I am planning of getting a BFR or a Majesty.. but although i love and surely miss my majesty.. i am kinda afraid of the stability of the neck.

I don’t own one, but in my time here it seems to be the guitar that has the most issues cropping up for owners. Enough to put me off, despite being blown away by how nice it was to play when I tried one in store

I am new here looking for answers also. I have had my 7-string Arctic Dream since 02/2015 and am forever adjusting the neck. It bows if I loosen it, it humps if I tighten it, there is no happy medium. I can adjust it, don't touch it for a week in the case, and come back and its messed up again. For the price I paid and the long 8 month wait to finally get this I would think there would not be any issue at all. It plays very good when re-adjusted but, why does it need to be. I have had guitars half the price since 2010 that I have never had to adjust the neck. "Never!" Why this high price beauty???

Two things about majesty necks: 1. they are soft and are very sensitive to heat, cold, and humidity. It is absolutely normal that they need to be adjusted. I adjust mine every time before I play. John has said that he'll even adjust his in the middle of shows. 2. I've had 4 warped Majesty monarchy 7 string necks in a row. For almost six months I bought one, neck was warped, returned it for another, same problem. Wash, rinse, repeat. My main guess is that the store at which I purchased them opened them before the required 24 hour wait period and the drastic change in temp. messed with the sensitive neck. I'd say keep going. They're worth it in the long run.

I has the same issues with a new Majesty, they looked minor for the untrained eye maybe ) but it was exactly how you describe.a friend had similar issues with a twisted neck
I had a few MM guitars over the years and still have a JP7 (and a Cutlass bought just 2 weeks ago) which were all extremely stable
So it's definitely related only to Majesty

I've had issues with my 2014 Arctic Dream also. A lot of truss and bridge tweaking with similar issues to those listed above. In my opinion, it wasn't able to perform like the tool I needed it to be, and it just wasn't ready for prime time. Maybe they are better now but I'm a bit soured on the model. I recently had to part with it and replace it.
