Hello. I'm opening another thread because, as some of you already know, I bought a Majesty and I want to make sure everything is okay. I apologize if I'm being too annoying, but I know there are people here who know a lot and can help me with these questions. My luthier says the guitar is made in a very calculated way, since with the extremely low action it sounds and defines the notes perfectly. But he told me that by removing all the strings it's impossible to keep the neck straight, therefore, re-fretting it if it were ever required (I know the majesty has stainless steel frets) would be very difficult, although he could do it. According to him, the neck is made in a certain way that once you put the strings on the guitar automatically setup, which is great. But I would like to know if it's normal that without the strings it's impossible to completely eliminate the backbow that is generated. I know the majesty is a different guitar, but I wanna be sure there’s nothing wrong. Thanks in advance, and I'm letting you know that I sent an email to EBMM, but I don't know how long it will take them to respond, so I'll turn to your wisdom.

We do not care what the neck is like with without strings. The Majesty neck is quite thin compared to most other guitars and string tension can easily bring the Majesty neck into acceptable relief. Old rules of thumb for guitars with thicker necks (e.g. flat neck with no string tension is a good thing) may not apply. The only thing we care about is this: if you can achieve the neck relief you need for the guitar play well, you have nothing to worry about.

And yes, with stainless steel frets, you may never need a refret.

Thanks so much, DrKev. So I see I have nothing to worry about. According to my luthier, re-fretting can be done, but it's more annoying for him. Haha. But yes, he told me something similar to what you said. According to his words, the Majesty is designed to have a low neck relief. If I could put the truss rod straight without strings, it would probably be impossible to set the guitar comfortable when I put the strings on.
