Nice work Sterling! It's always a pleasure to hear feedback like that after so much work went into it with EBMM and John. You know, I have to say the same. I enjoy so much out of your company's guitars, it puts the others that I've owned or laid hands on in another league. From my extended appreciation to you and your wonderful staff, thank you!

John just posted this. Notice the "available soon" notion?? heee heee hee hee. My taxes return will have somewhere to go. "This morning I received the final proto of my new signature Music Man guitar called The Majesty which will be available real soon. I have not stopped playing it since except to write this post...To me this guitar exemplifies ingenuity in design, the spirit of innovation, attention to detail, love for the art of guitar building, commitment to ultimate playability and feel, dedication to achieving sonic mastery and the pride of making the highest quality instruments out there.
I can't say enough about it and can't wait for everyone to check it out!!"

A brief research project that ended 10 years ago that resulted in a body shape vs a 13 years of tonewood research and design relationship with Petrucci, and people are talking about BMW? Because of the color? A few cropped photos? I see where you guys are adding 1+1 and getting 3, but please let's end the BMW comparisons.

As I understand it from BP, this guitar is all Drew Montell, John Petrucci, and the EBMM designers and engineers. The Majesty is not just a unusual looking guitar - its design and construction is unique the product of a ridiculous number of trials and prototypes that only ended when JP said "I'm happy".

And BTW, I personally don't like the blue color. Wait 'till you guys see the black one!

Im involved with this one all along dont write me out of it!

People are talking about Bmw because you have showed an instrument that is inspired with Bmw's color palette and has an carbon fiber at least on cropped photo. If you have for example showed the woods under the hood maybe they would talk about 13 years of research of woods :p what do you want them to talk about if not what you have showed/said.

Why? You need to realize that this creates interesting speculation based on an interesting concept. There's nothing inherently negative about directly saying that this particular guitars color is in fact inspired by a fantastic car manufacture. If it gets people talking about the guitars and peaks their interest and its not inherently negative, why would you shoot it down? Not good for business IMO, too. People wanna have the BMW association nugget in their minds, why not let it be?

Well to be fair, all of these Majesty threads are speculative in nature and BP himself was the one who first mentioned the BMW/automotive paint connection, and as there isn't much else to go on I don't see that much of a problem with the BMW references in this context.

BTW, my BMW is black and I can fit three Musicman hardcases in the boot (trunk) very easily and seat 5 adults comfortably in the passenger compartment.
