I have played Parker's since '95. I use the stereo piezo/electric feature either with two amps, or now that I have Quilter products, thru two channels simultaneously. I work 4-5 gigs a week doing single chord melody, duo with piano (piano bar stuff), and a couple of bands that do stuff ranging from Western swing to country rock and an occasional session or two. I bought a JP 12 to replace a '03 Parker Mojo with chronic switch and jack problems. The JP does what the Parker does at half the price. Weight was the only issue. And, the BFR case weighed as much or more than the guitar. Traded for a Majesty and am extremely happy. The ergonomics are such that I feel like I grew up playing this guitar. The extended horn puts the fret board and upper switch exactly where I need them. This is no wall hanger. The no nonsense finish is easy to care for. The wood is ALIVE. Sustain and tone are superlative whether running direct to the Quilter or with effects before the amp. JP and MM have nailed this design. THANK YOU. my only concern is the longevity of the electronics. Time will tell. This is a working man's guitar that can cover the bases.

Nice post...and I second your observations. I've played a few Parkers, in fact, one of the guitars we traded in for my memorial Majesty was a '96 Ken Parker deluxe. I bought a couple of the Dragonfly models when they first came out, and really wanted to love them. The ergonomics of that body shape are outstanding. However, there were too many design flaws, QC problems and poor customer service, so I let them go shortly thereafter.
One of the first things I noticed about the Majesty was just like you said- it does everything the Parkers do, but better! The ergonomics are incredible...I just hate to put this guitar down. I find it to be one of my most inspiring guitars to play. The build quality and customer service speak for themselves...no worries there!
Can't recommend these guitars enough....

I still have a Parker Fly and love the weight-less-ness of them. However, I also experience the poor electronics (jack/switch). Quite common, from what I hear and read.

Thanks for the welcome(s). The color is black with smoked chrome metal parts. I'll work on the pics.

Black? BLACK? I think you mean Polar Noir :) I picture Dick Tracy and mobsters and... polar bears...

Anyway, yea - the Maj is stupid light! I love my JP13 7, but that thing feels like a boat anchor compared to my Maj-tastic voyage. It's over a pound and a half heavier than my Maj.

What are the odds you're in Hawaii - your name looks Hawaiian? I got the first Maj to arrive in the state :)

Ha ha. OK not black. Was the only thing I could remember at the time. Not in Hawaii at the time but have ties there. Mahalo

I am confident he is the great guy he appears to be. His amp business is quickly becoming a huge success. The key being quality products, personnel, and responsive customer service. Refreshing.
