ok so i was at work cleaning the pool. im a lifegaurd... gotta make money somehow. anyway. i was cleaning the pool and i felt something on my neck, naturally i went to rub it off and as i did i felt a small prick in my index finger of my left hand, and a bee came flying in front of my face. i dodged the bee then checked on my finger. the bastard(excuse my language) stung me. i went and got the stinger out in less than 5 seconds but i felt it for the next minute. half an hour later my finger is twice its normal size. a little while later it returns to normal size and i think im in the clear. i got to bed, wake up the next day, and my finger is once again twice its normal size, and it doesnt feel very good. i try later in the day to play my bass and using my index finger hurts, enough to make me not want to use it. so this sucks, im somewhat out of commision until my finger goes back to normal. how gay is this? im quite angered. im in the middle of learining a bach piece. bach is hard enough when im perfect. this sucks.

Put some ice on it! :p

Anywho, I think this would be an interesting opportunity to learn to play with your middle and ring finger, no? And when your index is back to normal, you'll be able to do three finger madness.

my michael moore impersonation

Skabassist- did you really say this?

i felt a small prick ..... how gay is this?

seems pretty gay to me

in all seriousness be glad you aren't an allergic freak like me who needs to carry around epinehprine, becuase if I got stung my problem with playing bass would not be a swollen finger, but death from anaphylaxis.

There is a silver lining!

Bach.. wow.

Have you ever played any Mach pieces? (Combination of Motzart and Bach-- See spinal tap)

You guys should try to learn Bach's Prelude for his first Unaccompanied Cello Suite. I haven't got it down, but it bet it sounds great on bass. Well... It's meant for cello so maybe it'll sound great on a bass with an effect or two.

Hey aren't those are the ones in D minor, the most sensitive key that makes people weep instantly?

D minor is actually the "saddest" of all keys :( . But it does make people weep instantly-- you are correct on that one.
