I don't know, looks kind of one-off to me... heh-heh-heh-he ...

Surely the new owner's right arm is gonna feel better...

downside is it has lost some value...

i dont see the problem with that really. ive never held an axis but ive heard people say the right wrist is uncomfortable for some people.
i guess this is the sort of modification you do as long as you DONT try and sell it later :p

All I play now are Axis' and I would love a little smooth forearm contour (not a sharp edge like the JP), but I would never do that to a guitar much less any of my Axis'. The feel of the neck and the tone are enough for me to live with a little edge on the top.

I think it would make it more comfy. But on a premium guitar like that!??? I don't think he will sell it for much.

Maybe it could be buffed out? :D

You know what, I've had a secret hankering (well, okay I have many), but the relevant one is that I will one day take an old Axis Sport (hence no binding), take all the paint off, cut in the arm contour, and then have it finished in something sparkly and garish.

The only thing wrong with this is that he doesn't tell prospective buyers that he's altered it.

well, with 14 bids there isn't any doubt about it selling....

would be a great guitar to not have to worry about.....a stage guitar...take it to the jams.... my guess is someone is bidding on it for the value of the neck and pickups alone... the pickups are hard to source...

I think he´s gonna sell this baby for a good price. It stays an Axis. But he should mention the forearm contour.I got an Axis myself and I wished mine would have such a little contour. ( By the way a new one is ordered...;-))This would make it really perfect. Guess why the JP has one. It makes playing more stressless for the right forearm. Just my opinion...
