Hey there!

As I posted earlier, I recently acquired an used 2013 JP6 Mystic Dream. Awesome guitar, always loved EBMM and never owned one, just played ocasionally my friend's guitars, always found them to be amazing.

The thing is I'm returning to play electric guitar (after many many years of playing classical and acoustic guitar) and I never truly learned how to mantain my guitar, so I have questions regarding the hardware mantaining. I've googled a lot of these questions, but wanted to know the thought of fellow EBMM owners and lovers.

I know how to do the setup of the guitar, no problem with that. Also I know that sometimes I have to mantaing the neck, cleaning the RW fretboard with wonder wipes or other non-wood-damaging oil, not letting it sit too much and then clean the neck and apply some BC gunstock oil and/or wax.

Also I know that I can seal off some nasty chips (you can see one in the pictures) with a lot of care, super glue, and a tooth pick to do drop-filling. If you could help me with that it would be great (never done it so tips regarding drop-filling "technique" would be great!).

So my questions are the following:

- Some tips on drop filling the ding in the picture? I can live with it as I said in the other post, just worried if it will get bigger.

- Will the 5983 Hardshell case that sells in the stores fit perfectly the JP6? Do you know a fine case for the guitar if the 5983 won't fit nicely?

- How can I mantain the guitar's hardware clean and shiny? (bridge, tuners, switches and pots)? WD40 to remove rust/oxidation will be fine? I have seen a lot of pictures of the EBMM here and you guys manage to get that hardware to shine beautifully, I want that. What about pickup oxidation?

- EB guitar polish it's just fine for the finish? That, plus microfiber cloth for surface dust removing of course.

- My final question: Dust in hard to reach places: Saddles and in-between the saddles or between the saddles and the bridge, pickup holes, between the coils and the fabric covering the pickup, the truss rod adjusting wheel (don't know if I said that correctly)... how do you clean those?

Thanks! I know that you cannot keep the guitar factory condition... but the guy that sold me the guitar really did not took care of it, it only has two years and is really rusty in some places, and the gaps are filled with dust. And the neck is really dirty... And of course didn't come with the case and the tremolo bar (if you have a tip for getting a whammy bar would be awesome!)

Sorry for the long post! And sorry for the lousy camera... try to get better pictures later...

Greetings from the end of the world (Chile, depending the point of reference)

No experience with filling paint but I find a nice soft toothbrush can get into nooks and crannies.

Honestly, a chip by the input that small, I wouldn't worry about. Super Glue can get messy, and if you aren't used to doing finish repairs, it can cause a big mess that is hard to clean up. If you just use a drop, that would be good for keeping any spreading of the chip.

As for the rest, Ernie Ball makes a full line of guitar care products to take care of the finish. The hardware is mostly chrome plated, which just needs to be wiped off once in a while. It doesn't oxidize nearly as easily as nickel plated hardware. an "air duster" can be great for getting dust out of hard to reach places.

Thanks!! Ill take it to a luthier or maybe leave it there unless it actually gets bigger. Thanks for thr advice on dust and finish!

The hardware, specifically the switches and some bridge screws are oxidized. What can I use to clean them?
