maple vs. rosewood neck on axis ss?

Just wondering if anyone has had the chance to A/B the sound of an Axis SS w/ maple neck to that with a rosewood?

I realize that the rosewood should be a little darker sounding.....I just can't find one at a LMS to try. I'm trying to make a buying decision. Just wondering if they sound much different.

Any input?

Put on a blindfold when you compare, otherwise you won't get a "correct" reading for the ears!!

I've done (comparison tests) many times over the years, not only with guitars but also with amps and speakers.

You may be VERY, VERY surprised when you take off the blindfold!!
