Did you guys ever try to make a deal with Mark Hoppus or vice versa? I know he played a Stingray for quite awhile in the early to mid 90's. Nothing happened with that?

He used to play a Stingray, but went to Fender. They probaly lured him away by giving him his own model. He does use our strings.

Yeah I thought as much, they probably gave him a big chunck of change to endorse them too.

Was he ever endorsed by musicman? Or did he just buy all his basses of the shelf?

He is still endorsed however just on the strings as Jon mentioned.
We did supply Mark with a few Stingrays as part of the relationship we had built with the band. I remember seeing some pastel type finishes that we did custom for him.
A powder blue stingray with pearloid white guard and a soft orange colored Stingray.
At some point in 1998 he left to built his custom signature bass.

Ok yeah, I've seen him with both those basses in 96-97, I think he had a gloss black one before that too. Those pastel finishes are nice.
