Mark!!!!! Welcome. great to hear that you're still thumpin' around!! I was just listening to the 'Doctor's first CD a little while ago and man, some amazing playing and jamming on that disc! Was very much an influence for some of my playing when it first came out.
again, welcome!

I used to play with a harpist in a jazz trio. She always said that harpists spent half of the time tuning and the other half of the time playing out of tune.

Reminds me of a joke "How do you get a drummer to practice?"

Start tuning.

I forgot to welcome Mark to the forum! I was/am a big fan of the Spin Doctors. It's very cool to have you post here!

Welcome Mark :D

Another fan here - in fact I just had Homebelly Groove in the CD Walkman over the weekend - great live playing on that disc.

Not to be forward (but what the heck), since you're now an official forumite, how about checking out the big Open House in September?

The best thing there is about it is being able to put a face and bass with a known band name.

Thanks Larry and Mark.

BassBoy007...

Why, it's just the most amazing, one-of-a-kind experience ever dreamed up by a bunch of customer crazy cats from Cali.

You find your way to SLO and keep a roof over your head, and EBMM takes care of the rest. It's a day (and a half) of factory tours, roundtables with EBMM staff and signature artists, performances by EBMM artists, good food, good company, and probably a little drinking for those so inclined.

That thread that Psychicpet pointed out should tell you how to climb on board for this absolutely insane undertaking.

This place Katy you speak of. I know this place well. I live in this place. The West side of Houston this place is located. Not a very intresting place to visit though.

I remember when Katy wasn't actually attached to Houston.

Heading west, there was Houston, then some open space, then after a little while there was Katy.

I think Houston has plans to annex San Antonio.

Damn, I almost wish I lived there. I would love to take some lessons from Mark.

Then again that would damage my standing as a "lunch pail" bassist.
