I've been using a Little Mark II for a while now, it's a great little amp for the small venues I play, and I can comfortably carry the rack box in one hand.

Markbass Hits the USA in August!
23/06/2006
The much-anticipated arrival of Markbass amplifiers on American soil will begin in August at the Guitar Center.
Five years after the company was founded in San Giovanni Teatino, Italy, the world’s largest marketplace will finally hear the Markbass sound for itself and enjoy an exciting lineup of ultra-lightweight, ultra-reliable amps, cabinets and combos.

“We’ll start with the most popular Markbass models, and eventually we’ll be carrying the entire Markbass line in the coming months,” says Ed Ocean, Bass Products Buyer for Guitar Center. “We look forward to a long and bright future together with Markbass, and have been excited about this partnership since its inception.”

August will mark the beginning of a new era in bass amplification for Americans!

“Markbass is committed to serving the needs of bass players. That’s why the amps are being so warmly received,” says International Promotion, Marketing and Artist Relations Manager Peter Murray. “Marco and his team have spent many years applying cutting-edge technology to these specific needs: a true, clear and honest sound, headroom to spare, ultra-light amps that are easy to transport, and affordable products that will work every time without fail. Technology and intelligent design have provided the solution.”

We know many of you have been waiting patiently for the arrival of Markbass in the US, and we’d like to thank you for your patience and continued interest. Starting in August, ask for Markbass at your local Guitar Center. We want to help you sound better, play better, and make better music!

For more information about Guitar Center, please visit their website at www.guitarcenter.com

Hmmm I've been meaning to try a MarkBass combo amp for sometime now. Hopefully they'll arrive in the Sherman Oaks GC soon!

If they sound anywhere near as good my current rig and can handle the sonic abuse I tend to dish out; my credit card may be in trouble. I'm tired of carrying around heavy stuff.

I don't know why I'm so excited for these to come out. I love the sound my rig produces and the Ashdown has never let me down. I guess the thought of a 7lbs 500 watt album is nice. I'm pretty sure I'll still stick with the Ashdown for my blues/rock band but the markbass would be nice for a different sound and as a backup.

I am quite sure the Peavey will work until then. Of course I have to find a GC.

Where do you live in KS? There's one in Overland Park which I visit fairly often, and one in Wichita which I've never been in. The OP store has a respectable selection of EB/MM guitars and basses, but that's about it. No MarkBass yet.

I live in Hoyt. Work in Lecompton and visit Overland Park once in awhile with my job. I did find that one there never been in but am supposedly on an email list to find out when they have the Markbass gear in. Probably a year or so after the big boys get done with them I would reckon.

If you see one though be sure and ping me. Thanks for the info too.

Hey Tom

I know that Mark bass makes amps that fit in a wheelbarrow!

Quick question - has anybody here tried the Micromarks? I'm quite keen on getting one to replace my Rocktron or whatever it is as my practice amp... esp as it's so cute and tiny!

Is it worth the £££? (Does seem expensive for a 50 watter but I'm willing to splash the cash if it's all good)
