I like a more modern tone with a very full range sound. Deep lows, articulate mids and a little zing on the high end especially when slapping.
I find I cant get that sound properly on tweeter-less cabs.
In the rare cases that I need a more vintage tone I turn off the tweeter.
It may not be your sound but it does give you an extra layer of flexibility if you need it.
