I played a 12" combo and loved the sound. I almost bought it last night at around 11:00 from guitarcenter but for some reason my credit card didn't go through...

Anyways I love the sound but I have a thing agianst playing gigs with a singe cab on the floor and am also agianst a cab off the ground.. I currently have an ampeg 8x10 but no amp, Im not sure wether to get the 12" combo or the little mark head and a 12" avatar cab for now.

I don't gig right now I just need something for practice, the ampeg 8x10 isn't the tone im looking for right now, I'm moving towards a jazz blues style, I really like the size and tone of the 12" and if I ever played a gig on the smooth jazz side I would probaly like to use 2 12"s stacked.

Should I go with the head and an avatar cab and be able to use it with my 8x10, or should I go with a 12" combo and most likely have to buy a seperate head if I were to use my 8x10?

Spencer,I use the Markbass CMD 12 combo by itself for smaller gigs and with a 2x10 Traveller as a mini stack which puts out an incredible wall of sound for its size. Getting the Little Mark as a separate gives you more options with different cabs but it is nice to have a self contained combo and just add a cab when neccesary.

I like to have the option to use my LMK with different cabs....never been a fan of combo;s for that reason, and while I like the Mark bass heads I prefer my bergie cab to my mark bass one.
