It is not possible to be in all major shops of the world and not compromise quality and service. Sometimes you have to ignore that traditional pressure and keep forcused on your model. WE can't be the biggest but we can deliver a super high quality ergonomically sound instrument at a fair price and back each and every one of them up. That's OK in my book

Amen! I'm so glad that you guys are focused on the product versus the financials. I don't care if Music Man is only available from one shop in the world, so long as I can place an order. Sure, it would be nice to be able to try all the models in a local store, but if the logistics required to make that happen would affect the quality of the guitars then forget it!

The quality and sound of my Sub5 is better than that of any high end fender bass that ive played and costing nearly twice as much cash.

i second that... i've owned 5 f*nder basses in my time playing bass, and each one was an adventure in setup... shimming necks, dealing with weirdness, never feeling comfortable. all of my SUBs were amazing out of the box and just needed "personalization." the build quality of every EBMM i've ever encountered is amazing. i don't even consider a SUB to be any less of a bass than a 'Ray or Sterling really. i honestly think the SUBs are/were the answer to anyone wanting a vintage 'Ray feel and sound (uncontoured body, 2-band EQ, etc) but with all the modern advances and construction quality of the slightly more "pimped" Ray or Sterling. thanks again, BP!

I agree, I initially bought the SUB as a "throwdown" but I quickly found found how mistaken I was. There is a completely unique sound, esp with the passive basses. Dollar for Dollar, I just don't see how you can compare it to the F**ders! What a shame that they cannot continue to be made.

So, you can market and distribute any ordinary POS product at a department store....but it is still crap. It will be a fleeting quick burst to sales, but word on the street will soon quell sales if the product does not deliver. I think the small business feel and the family-owned atmosphere of Ernie Ball is what makes it so special on many levels.
