I'm really loving the JVM205h 50W head. I'm not interested at all in changing

anything or modding my MM Guitar's. I use minimal pedals, if any at all. Alot

of times I just have to walk away from what I use now. One day I can dial in

real sweet tones and other day's it Blah! at best. But everytime I plug into

Marshall JVM 50W, I just love what comes out without a ton of knobs and

gimmicks. Anyone else played through this JVM205h ?

I have a JVM 410 that I absolutely love. I go back and forth between that and a DSL 50. I feel I can get a sweeter lead tone out of the DSL but only if it is absolutely cranked. Otherwise the JVM has it all; great rhythm tones, versatility, 2 volumes plus the fact that you can save the settings. It also sounds pretty good at low volume. I think its a great amp. The only difference between the 205 and the 410 aside from wattage (which I don't think is a big deal because its mostly a preamp gain amp) is the OD channel. The OD channel on the 205 is the OD2 channel on the 410 which has slightly less mids than your normal Marshall. But you can always dial those back in.

I think you have a great amp there. Don't get rid of it. However if you're looking for a little change of pace pick up a used DSL 50 and boost the clean channel with an SD-1 or something and you'll love it!
