The photos look "stock" (i.e. he probably didn't take them), so perhaps it will look a bit different than what you see on the screen.

That is certainly is a really low price for a minty Stingray.

I only know of 4 instruments with the infamous Logan green finish. For Namm 03 we made a Silhouette and a Bongo HS in that color. Both Instruments went to Artists. We made 2 more Bongos in the same color, and I think one lives in SLO and the other at a Studio in Salem MA.

I do not recall a StingRay finished in that color ever before the Dargie Delight series.

The Serial number will tell the story.

I saw that too. It must be Trans Green cause as far as i know, the DD's are the only basses that came out in MOG. This guy must be handy at photoshop because those look like the exact pictures of the DD's they have up on musiciansfriend, minus the inlays and matching headstock. Just look closely at that angled shot and you'll notice the inlays arent even there.

I'm not a scholar on looking at photos, but I noticed the first pic had the inlays and th closeup/angle shot did not.

Hope it works out for ya, Kevin!

i am a graphic's major... besides playing music... i live in photoshop... after comparing the ebay pics the seller posted with musicianfriend's... i can say with 99 percent confidence those are the same exact pictures... he changed changed the angle on some of the pics, but you can tell it's the same pics by the lighting angles... he can just as easily replaced the headstock with any other pictures...

I'm not doing this to rub it in... but I want you to see where my last post is coming from... I took the musicianfriend's pictures... and edited myself...

this is the inlay pictures... where his inlays all "magically disappear" I kept the 12th inlay in there so you can see the difference.

and this is his back side I left the Dargie Edition on the original picture.

And I would like to take this time to announce... the newest line of EBMM Bass...

THE BONGRAY!

I know the last picture isn't very well done... but Bongos just have such a distinctive headstock... so it was pretty hard to match it up...

Hi

Just received the "suspect" green Stingray. Thankfully it does exist beyond photo shop.

Looks like a brand new, very nice, proffesional paint job.

The serial # on the neck plate is E58110. Any info about this serial # would be great.

I'm taking it to a luthier friend of mine to check it out. As long as all the components are real, I'll be very happy with it.

I'll update you all on the outcome.

Hey Everyone,

We got the scoop on the bass. This bass was sold February 2rd as an industry accommodation for an employee of a MI company out of Louisiana. The gentleman wanted a green bass but we had cut off orders for Dargies, so he got an instrument that was in our artist warehouse, the original color is Trans Red.

That is probably the EB stock of good bass players. :D You know in case us hacks can't get it done they will come out and make the EBMM bass sound good.
