I´m Thomas and I come from Germany. Nearly 44 Years of Age, Married, Wife, Doughter, Band.

What shall I say. My Wife supports me with my/our Music/Band and my Band are my best Friends. What more can I want?

Ah yes...of course. I´ve bought my first Musicman Bass two Days ago and I can´t wait to receive it. A Weekend can be long when you wait for a Bass

Tried many, many Basses over the Years. Many Brands. But there was never a Musicman. Now I´m proud to get one. I love Tony Levins Tone for Example.

It´s a 2002 Stingray 5 in Transparent Red with Black Pickguard and in "Mint Condition"
Until now I only can post a Pic from the Shop where I´ve bought it.

Ah, I have one Question. Can someone tell me the exact Distance from the Point where the String lies on the Bridgesaddles to the Pickup (means where the Pickup begins) I know it will vary, because the Saddles aren´t in a Row.

The reason it varies is because it depends on how you set the intonation. With different gauge strings and different string height, the intonation position with vary from bass to bass. There is no correct answer.

I think this kind of measurement is done from the nut rather than the bridge, which should be more accurate.

Of Course, you´re absolute right, indeed. So if anyone could measure this, would be great.

The Thing is, I´ve got another Bass. A Carvin LB75, wich is also a great Instrument. It´s equipped with Two MM Humbuckers and while I´m waiting for my Stingray, wich will be my Main Axe from now on, i guess, I´d like to finde out how different the PU Positions are.

Those hummies on your Carvin may look like MM-hummies, Thomas! That's what I've learned over the years. They should have a similar low impedance.
Btw - I once had a Carvin B5, MM-style hummie and J-style pup. Great instrument but did not reach the Ray5.
