Even my wife now thinks I should get the 30th now. Her words were, "You deserve a professional bass". Something strange is going on here. She is is the one always telling me no. Now I have to get a few financial ducks in a row before they all disappear.

Update: Talked to GC the 18 month same as cash ended 8/31. The only one year same as cash this month is on G$bson/Epiph?ne - No Thank You. Will wait and see what next month brings. There is no way I can swing that kind of cash up front, and I'm not paying several hundred dollars in interest just to own a cool bass just yet. :(

I wonder if you pmmed Urwords that works in Hollywood and ask him if he can help out with the manager tell a sob story and that you meant ot have the bass held and your cat died while your grandmother was choking on your grandpas undercooked chicked and everyone but you were throwing up for thirteen days and could you make an exception.....Tell him that BP said it was ok I carry zero weight but who knows?

Thanks for the advice BP, but I think I will wait a little bit and get my GC card cleared. I will now assume vulture mode and wait for 0% interest to return. The 30th is a work of art. Time will tell if I own one or not. After the disappointment this week I went to another GC (life on the road can get lonely) and played several EBMM basses and found a bass that would be a good second choice - the Stingray piezo, its no 30th, but what a tone monster.

One must always have a plan B. Besides my wife has agreed to me buying a musicman bass this year. That in itself is a big victory.:D

So if I understand some of this post correct, there should be a price drop on the
30th Ray bass? ...now only if there was a way to find out what the list/retail/dropped prices are (estimated of course).

I really don't get this... the 30th is laying around on the shelves in GC stores, and some of you have several, yet I have to see a single of these beauties in a Swiss store. :(

i dont think there's an official price drop. i think its been noticed that some GC stores have been marking them down. someone official will know for sure but that's my observation.

no there were a limited number but people bounce around alot with all of the choices we have. The GC ones make me sad because the guys really just buried them and now they are dumping one. If you have any desire for the best we have ever made go to guitar center grind the daylights out of the saleman and take advantage of no interest for 18 months......you can make a killing now

yep, the GC I work at had a 30th for about 6 months, and I kick myself for not jumping on it. me being one of two bass players that work at that store (we have 8 drummers) and me being the only EBMMaholic it hung way up on the wall rarely ever touched, I come back to work after a day off one day and someone had bought it. by the way anyone wanting to trade a 30th just look at my Sig. and see if there is anything you want to trade for.
