Maybe thess pics are a little clearer....the plastic on the pickguard looks awful, but will be nice and shiny when you peel it off!!!!

The Buyer of the AL gets their choice of a boutique effects pedal by Xotic (BB Preamp, RC Booster, AC Booster, etc) or by Barber (Tone Press...amazing, musical compressor, or the Guitar Player's Editor's Pick and favorite overdrive, the Barber Direct Drive, etc)

I've been trying to edumucate myself about AL's and it looks like you are right about the bridge. I'm not sure if I would be able to get along with a hardtail or not. I've been a trem guy for a while now. Although, I seem to only use a trem every once in a while. It just makes for more creative tones at times. Anyone here a hardtail convert after playing a hardtail AL?

Yes, it's a hardtail....i LOVE the neck on this AL!
I know it would photograph so much better without the plastic on the pickguard, but I really want to let the first owner have the privilege of pulling that off.

I need both. There are certains things I can't do with a trem hanging there throwing the other strings out of tune on big bends. I have 2 Axis SS's coming, one with trem one hardtail, one with humbuckers the other with MM90's. I need to have that kind of variety available. An '08 LE AL will probably be a hardtail...
Don't let the fact that it's a hardtail keep you from jumping on one, they're great.
My next guitar will be an Al with a bar. I chose the hardtail first due to my lack of skills and being a bass guy for the past 10 years. humbuckers and trems scare me.
