This is me rocking CBGB's a few weeks ago with my pearl blue silo special, black pearloid pickguard and duncan distortion in the bridge, behind me is a XXX head and marshall 212 cab with v30's in it-

were like heavy, sort of like rage against the machine with a singer, I guess that would be audioslave nowadays, the singer jay is the son of jimmy castor of P funk so there is a chilli peppers element in there as well, were like a funk metal band with riffs and heavy guitars, believe it or not the silo with the duncan distortion sounds heavier than my axis -

Okay at the risk of sounding really stupid what and where is CBGB?? I'm from the deep south and we're a bit SLOW down here... :D

CBGB's is a club in NY. The NY punk/new wave scene was basically born there.

My favorite band of all time is Television. As I understand it, CBGB was a country bar, and Tom Verlaine of Television talked the owner into letting these newfangled punk and new wave bands play there.

Sort of a mythical place in the history of rock.

I think that bands like the Ramones, Blondie, and the Talking Heads got their start there.

Believe it or not, I think that CBGB's stands for Country Blue Grass Barn. I could be wrong about that though.

Wasn't there another famous club called Max's Kansas City as well?

Not that I've been to any of these places, just obscure music trivia I picked up along the way.

Oh, cool pick BTW! Maybe your band will be the next big thing to come outta there! :-)

thanks for taking a look guys, now you can all put a face with my name, which is actually russ, anyway I will post some more pics of my MM guitars as soon as I have them, and CBGB stands for country, blue grass, blues, and for those in the deep south everyone from madonna to the police played that dump of a stage I was standing on, but its still an honor to play there, we were very happy and my silo sounded perfect as usual! -

I've had the opportunity to play every room there. There's nothing like the aura of history in the original room, but don't use the bathrooms, they're androgenous and full of dope shooters (true story). Max's has been defunct for years sadly.
