Well I finally recorded a small clip of myself playing tonight with my digital camera. This is The Well Dressed Guitar by Mr. Morse, but of course not the complete version and the ascending scalar lines after the main riff I played faster and left out the Whole notes (I dont know why lol)  . I was kinda rushing, because I was nervous due to the camera in my FACE, but anyway. I have another one of me as well ATTEMPTING the main passage of Tumeni Notes, but it is not done uploading on YouTube, and I shall post when it is done.

By the way, on my computer the videa and audio sync when I looked at the footage is incredibly delayed, but none the less it is ME playing my beloved Silhouette :D .

"Update:"
Here is Tumeni Notes that I attempted, but I was not warmed up enough and plus I have actually started using different picks which I am still getting used to. It is soooo different going from a regular Dunlop Gator Grip .96 to a Jazz 3 1.30mm that is also very tiny. But anyway, enough of excuses lol.

Don't ask me why I had it in my head that you were older!
It could be something you said in a thread 2 months ago? I have no idea.
But for some reason, I pictured you between 35-40!?!?!?
HELLO!!!! :D :D

I'd agree that you act more mature from as far as I can tell!
Anthropology!!! Interesting. Is that what you're taking in school?

Not at the moment, it is just something I am really interested in: anthropology, philosophy, astronomy, astrology, photography, martial arts, nature. Basically all the things that have to do with the human mind and the universe. And than there is MUSIC of course which sumarizes ALL these things, which is a universal language. In school I am studying music (classical guitar performance), but it is going slow at this point cuz I took some semesters off and such.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it. I needed some critique from guitar players, because my friends tell me I'm good but it's a bit different since they dont play. Anyway, Steve Morse RULES :D!

Good job mate! I know it's difficult to play your best with a camera in your face. I've been playing both pieces myself, and they're great to build your technique. Have you tried to play the rest of tumeni notes, the entire song is one big alterate picking exercise. Btw i recently bought some Steve Morse Band on vinyl. You can say what you want about the quality, but it's a whole different experience to put a lp on the turntable, compared to cds.

I am honored by everyones kind words :). I have not learned the complete pieces because I cant find the complete transcriptions and I have not found the time to sit down and figure it all out. I wish they still printed complete transcriptions of Steve Morse stuff as well as other guitar guys like Tony Macalpine and Vinnie Moore, because I really want to work on some of those pieces.
And guess what, I will have another clip of me playing something with my NEW LUKE. Pete just told me it is shipping out of SLO so I should hgopefully have it in a week or so :D!

Keep in mind it is also Carbon Blue  :D  ! I'll try and make the clip during the daylight with more light next time so you can really see the color if that's possible. Any requests for what I should "attempt" to play? lol Maybe some improv, or just stick to Morse lol.

Great playing there Roubster - above and beyond anything I can manage.

You have checked the tabs at www.stevemorse.com havent you. I seem to remember getting the whole of "Well Dressed Guitar" from there.

Keep up the picking

Dave
