Actually, everyone should have 4 AL's. 2 hardtails, 2 trems, 2 P-90's, 2 strat coils.

I've got 2 to go.

Hey, it's my 100th post and it's completely inane. What a shock.

well myself i have no use for P90's or single coils. and to me the albert lee model body style is kinda well..........differen't looking. sorta put it in the same class as the bonga bass lets say. LOL i much prefer single cutaway axis, and les paul style guitars. oh and always a fixed bridge. no whammy nonsense for me, yes sir'e

Everyone has their own thing....I personally don't like Les Pauls much, nor fancy maple or humbuckers.

The AL weirded me out at first, but then it sort of grew on me.

lol yeah the albert lee does weird me out, altho i doubt it will grow on me. ;) i'm looking at a ESP right now. the EC-1000 ever seen it? well its a dual humbucker les paul style guitar that normally comes stock with emg-81's. they do offer a sunburst finish tho that comes with a SD JB/59 set which is what i wanna go for.

Normally I wouldn't look at ESPointy ;), but I just took a peek...seems pretty cool for the price. Too fancy for me though...

You can say what you want about the look of the AL's body shape, but play one for a while and you'll be convinced - it's one of the most ergonomic, well-balanced and comfortable guitars I've every played... And yes, one of mine is the triple MM90s model with a trem...

...and as for Les Pauls, I've owned three Gibsons and some old '80s Tokai, Ibanez and Aria Pro II copies or take-offs, and I traded my last one (a nice LP Deluxe Goldtop with mini-hums) for my Axis Super Sport with MM90s... and speaking as a player (not a banker) I definitely got the better end of the deal :D

question about albert lee. what does he look like and what kind of music does he play? i seen a music video with a older looking guy with long white-ish hair playing a red EBMM albert lee. it was like a folk blues grassish sorta thing i guess with about 8 or 9 other guys. some playing organs and what looked eactly like the actor steve martin playing a banjo. if any of this rings a bell to anyone let me know, i've seen the video a few times now.

I LOVE this new color!!! I'm a freak for Gold and this made my decision to get my dealer to order me an AL sometime later this year. As for the body style I love it. It's good to be different. You should see my amp of choice.

Albert Lee is a country picker who has played with tons of people. He played with Clapton back in the 70's too. If your interested in Albert's playing and history, check out the Albert Lee Highlights DVD. He's an amazing player and has tone for days.

2 bands I know of are Hogan's Heros and The Rhythm Kings (Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings).

I don't think the Rhythm Kings ever used any banjo...

It was the Earl Scruggs Band. :D One of my buddies saw that same program on TV. He's a big Steve Martin fan and couldn't get over how he played banjo too.
