*been dragging my feet on this as I wanted to give you the full story....
Remember this? http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-guitars/58764-stallions-wild.html

well, the next day my mother passed away unexpectedly. After we recovered from the initial shock, my always amazing wife decided to trade in a handful of her guitars to present me with a new one for two reasons:
To help distract a bit from all the rough bits of life we're going through right now, and to honor my mother as a form of memorial. It's a bittersweet NGD and may sound a bit strange, but it makes sense in our lives.
She suggested a few different potential guitars, but the new Majesty was the obvious choice.

A few other members have already done a fantastic job of posting details of how impressive these guitars are. All I can add at this point is that every day I grow more accustomed to it and the bond grows stronger. It is a truly easy to play and inspiring instrument.
I had a 20+ minute 'moment' a few night ago that was pure magic....gave me goose bumps....

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. That was very nice of your wife to do that for you. I wish you many more 20 minute moments of magic! Enjoy.

Im really sorry to hear about you Mother..I lost my Father to cancer last year, and well lets just say,i would not wish that illness on my worst enemy

I think your wife is a truly special woman, and to honour your Mother this way,is to hold onto all those wonderful memories you had with her.....I also have a BFR JP6 coming next week, which i decided to purchase, with the money my Father left me,so when i play it,i feel like he is very much with me

Music has this very powerful and spiritual effect on people, and im sure that 20+ minute moment had its fair share of raw emotions, that makes us glad to be alive, when it seems really hard when we lose someone so close to us

I love your Majesty..I hope you have many more moments that only you can explain..
My Majesty is on its way at the end of June

Thank you all for the kind words...

Another thing I wanted to add was a fabulous observation Mrs. Bebop made.
We took out my JP6 which is a few years old to compare w/ the Majesty, and she quickly pointed out the difference in tone in piezo only mode. The JP6 piezo sounds like a steel string acoustic whereas the Majesty sounds much more like a classical guitar! Not sure why, but it's very cool!

That's very bitter sweet. I love that polar Noir... it's a great finish. Enjoy it.

Very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad suddenly a few years ago so I know what you're going through. Hang in there and congrats on the NGD!

Powerful thread.
Wishing you a guitar that helps heal the pain and has many songs bursting out of it.
WHat a wonderful way to help the grieving process.

I was very sad to read of the circumstances regarding your guitar - but what a nice way to remember her. It will be a special guitar that means a lot to you.

My Limited Edition Albert Lee is very similar. My cousin arranged to get it for me and passed away just a little while after that. It is very precious to me too.

Yours looks bloody fantastic!!!
