I've been a registered user here for a long time but have not posted much. Uh...I think that is changing!!

I've been friends with Jack Williams for years. He used to live here in San Antonio and Jack, Ray Duke and I were the 3 basskateers or sumpin'. I managed to score a NAMM pass and drove up to meet the boys in Austin.

I have to tell you that you MUST do what ever it takes to meet the folks from Ernie Ball/Music Man. I was blown away by these wonderful folks.

Let me put it this way, they are ALL as lovely as their wonderful guitars and basses. I've been around the block a few times, Bros, and have never met a more enjoyable group of folks. I can't name all the names, however, I do remember Sterling, Scott and Beth by name. They treated me like I was family. Yeah, that is the feeling I had about the company....family.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Jeffrey, good to see you. Even with your drum obsession, you seem to be a good guy, heh heh.

That's not going to score you any points around here, Chuck. I'd keep that quiet if I were you.

BP's got one hell of a team.

I'm glad you got to hang with them, Chuck.

Funny that you should post that pic of me, Steve. Big Poppa and I were talking and he told me he has a 1958 P bass and I mentioned the one in the pic. My folks bought it for me used in 1958 so I don't know what year it was made.

Actually, I would not want it if I had to play it. Compared to any other bass in my closet, it was a dog.

I have a sunburst Mike Dirnt P these days. It looks a lot like the old 50's bass but has wonderful electronics that sound great and don't hum. I get my nostalgic look without the ball bat neck profile and obsolete electronics.

Hah!

Yes I do like drums (I play'em as a hobby, helps me write music too). But I like me some guitars a lot more!!

Lookin' forward to your bday bash man, should be a riot! Well, not literally, I hope.

Hopefully they'll have some sort of an open-jam thing at some point and maybe I'll actually play this time.
