It's much more like an Axis than a JP. But, it's an EBMM so I'm sure you will like it

i played an axis once and it seemed to little to me...maybe i just gotta get used to it. i just need a second guitar for some flexibility and the sub 1 seems to be a cheaper guitar that will do what the jp cant.

It can sound pretty heavy if need be, but I do agree with the others.... it depends on the hands of the player.
