I was told it was because of Sweat.

Maybe the guitars were urinated on. I did hear they had a pretty wacky stage show.

I am glad it was Keith and not me who touched them.

Lucky Jon...........

Hey I´ve never heard bout this before here in germany. I think Derek you guys are save to work on the guitars :D

Maybe I can hook up my cousin on this forum if he knows about it  well from a producers point of view-not  what you all might think.

Just to let you all know that I have found a photo of the singer peeing on the keyboard player. I wouldn't dream of posting it (unless of course a moderator told me specifically that it was ok) Thankfully no Ernie ball instrument is involved. Maybe I should join a Korg forum???

I have seen The live video they put out a while back and in the video the lead singer whips out a fake "member" that is some how attached to a hidden water hose. He then procedes to spray yellow water all over the crowd, fellow band members, and in his own mouth for a ridiculous amount of time. This may be what's happening in the pics you've seen. This would also explain some of the rusting!

It's all an act- a big hoax to wooo those crazy German Fans.

Now THATS Entertainment!
I remember a quote from the Indelible Ice Cube a few years back as they were on the same tour (Family Values tour I think..?), Rammstein had had a "hit" in the U.S. with "Du Hast", Cube said he went to check out their set since they went on right after him and he was in Complete Disbelief! He said the Lead Singer lit himself on fire and then pulled out a huge umm.... "Dildo" and sprayed "urine" on everybody. Apparently Cube and his "crew" were completely freaked out. :)

Zappa-Stein!!!

If only Frank Zappa had lived to see them. I've read about him squirting whipped cream onto an inflatable woman before having some Marines that were in the audience stomp her to "death". He also liked to sing in German ("Stick It Out" on Joes Garage). The more I think about it Rammstein seem like direct descendents of one aspect of Uncle Frank's genius.

Spritz Feuer!

Close enough. In the German song on Joe's Garage he begs the mechanical robot pig he's having sex with to stick out its "hot curly weenie" until it squirts fire!!!

oh my God!!! Rammstein are directly inspired by this song I'm sure of it.

"Streck aus deinen heiben gelockten...bis es spritz, spritz, spritz, spritz Feuer!"

That my friends is the best summary of a Rammstein show you'll ever hear ....and in their mother tongue.

My cousin whos company does the Videos for them just answered my mail, haha.
He wrote that he has some video outtakes he can´t show on air but he will show me some when we meet on a family table.
MMMM coffee cake and peeing singers, haha.
So it´s true show with coloured water, but I like it.
Greetings to you all from my cousin who only plays a little acoustic guitar so he has no need to become a member of this forum.
