You guys are going to kill me.
I took my Luke to GC along with my amp, expecting to exchange the amp for another. I get there, fire the Luke up with a new amp, and it didn't do it. Great! (You should have seen their eyes light up when I unveiled that guitar too!). So, because my problem is so uncommon and strange, and because I got the sense that the dude didn't really believe me or thought I was just an idiot, I decided to have him wheel my "broken" amp over so I could demonstrate the problem to him.
Well... <cough>... it worked just fine! No weird sound. I was so embarrassed that it wasn't even funny. I was at a loss for words. I know I'm not crazy. I almost recorded the sound because it was so bad, but I didn't. I should have. Just for proof. But I'll be darned if it wasn't there.
So, this can only mean that it was something else. Bad cable maybe? Weird power? Shouldn't be because I plugged the amp into the same outlet that I plug everything in to. My XTlive and Atomic amp didn't make any weird sounds. And my computer monitor is an iMac, and it doesn't have any interference like a regular monitor does. I'm at a loss.
So, I left GC with my tail between my legs and went on to my gig. I got to the gig and for kicks tried the cable I always use, and it didn't make any weird noise. So, it's something in my HOUSE maybe that is causing it. I won't know until tonight.
Finally... I should say that I've been thinking non-stop about my thread here, and the slap down I got from BP. I just feel so badly about it. I shouldn't have even started this thread, and have learned a lesson <slaps L over forehead>. I feel like one of those children that cry when they get yelled at by their teacher because they are so devastated that they disappointed someone. HA! I'm usually NOT that guy, and today I am and I just feel so stoopid for it.
Thanks guys... FWIW.
And hey.. if we can just delete this thread... let's do it.
