thanks for the positive feedback guys makes it all the more worth while.
well it seems the general consensus is chrome tip.. i have a black tip laying around somewhere (need to find it first) ill try that on and see how it looks. but i was thinking of getting my mate to machine one up and get it chrome plated rather than having plastic with chrome paint on it.

well i found the black tip and have fitted it i like it. might stick with it for a while until i can find a chrome tip to try out.
