MM Cutlass Bass Graphite Necks

On the subject of graphite necks, I've been thinking of the MM Cutlass Basses lately (a StingRay Bass with the neck made of graphite as opposed to wood). MM released them in 1978/79. Toying with the idea of converting my '79 to one. Can anyone advise of a manufacturer, if at all one exists?

I've seen Mose Graphite MM direct-repacement necks available in the Musicians Friend catalog for $249.00. I have a Moses jazz style graphite neck on a Warmoth P-style bass. To be honest, the tonal difference between my Moses graphite neck and necks I own with ebony or maple fingerboards is not that great. The thing I like about the Moses neck is it's adjustable trussrod. I've been told some graphite necks are non-adjustable. Moses makes a fine graphite neck for the price, but I'd personally check with Modulus to see if they offer a replacement neck as Modulus(Geoff Gould-founder and former owner) pioneered graphite necks with Alembic back in the 70's. I believe Modulus also manifactured the Cutlass neck. -D.M.

Rod-Man, I found that Status also offers a direct replacement MM neck while surfing the web. Status produces very high quality graphite basses(they made John Entwistle's Buzzard Bass). I'd definately check them out.
