Update:
After a week or two of very slow communication, they finally got back to me with a simple "your preamp is dead" and that i need to buy a new one. I told them that it is unacceptable with this price range to have issues like this and then the customer HAS to spend another 500-600 bucks for a new part and intallation since its completely MM's fault that this has happened. Its been a week since i have sent that email and still no response. So i am posting here and someone will hopefully see it. I dont think i will ever buy another MM product unfortunetally even tho i love my majesty.
Hello,
while i was playing my guitar started to deliver less and less sound. I went and got a new pack of batteries and replaced them and the guitar now wont power on at all. The led in the back doesnt even light up now. I tried to reset it with the 10 min cable in without batteries but still nothing. Changes cables, nothing, got another new pack of batteries, nothing. This is so fraustrating considering the price of that guitar. Ive tried to contact but the contact form doesnt work smh. Can someone help?

They are closed on the weekends, so hopefully they'll get back to you.

Good luck, Glenn |B)

how long have you had the majesty? Did you purchase it new from a dealer, or did you pick it up used?

EBMM SHOULD replace every failed V1 preamp for free in perpetuity. However, their corporate customer service policy is the most abusive out of ANY musical instrument manufacturer I've ever run across.
Love the Majesty, hate the company.

In perpetuity? Internet forums like this are tiny tiny worlds, and very often people who have problems post here, while those who never have any problems never post, so you get a highly amplified view of the actual failure rate of music man electronics. The majesty is a very popular model, and there are tons out there that have never had a problem. And please don't come up with some spurious quote from "someone inside" where they admit that the V1 preamp had a problem. Why is there a V2? The same reason there are board revisions on virtually every piece of electronics gear. It's often to adapt to new tech, and/or to make construction more efficient. This could include moving wires onto the PCB to make assembly easier.

Anyway, I'm off to go look into getting a replacement PCB for a musical instrument company with a far worse customer service policy: Marshall amplification. It's so bad that I'm getting an aftermarket PCB, which is actually far better than the OG.

Point is, an instrument of this price range shouldnt have had an issue like this in the first place and dont give to the customers a "yeah go spend another 500-600 bucks because we messed up". thats the point.

I wasn't aware that electronic devices of ANY price point were immune to component failure.
BOSS pedals ...

There is no reason that the electronic inside a guitar fails ... a guitar is not exposed to physical stress (like a BOSS pedal ...), or heat (like a tube amp).
The first version of the preamp is just not well designed (and I presume the second version is better).
OK, there is a warranty and the warranty expired ... but Music Man should do something for poor guys like @naklis who are stuck with a dead preamp.

I am a Music Man fan, but here Music Man is just behaving like brands like Fender ...

do we know what is failing? I bet it’s repairable :). In a car world if there is a known failure and recall and/or part replacement is issued even if you miss a recall timeline the company issue a repair bulletin on how to fix it. I guess cars are more regulated.
