MM sterling classic pickup issue

Hello,

I recently purchased a white MM sterling classic from used from guitar center. The bass is amazing. But I am having a very intermittent issue with the pickup. It sometimes gets quiet or cut a out all together. Tapping on the pickup will fix the issue for a while.

Any ideas how to fix it? I have checked all the wireing. I am pretty sure the problem is inside the pickup. Or dose any one know where I can pick up a new stock pickup?
