Hi there,

Does anyone know of a source for pop-in MM vintage trem compatible arms that are made without the plastic knob? I don't know what it is, but I hate how they feel.

Thank you for reading!

I don't think that there is one. Something that I did, as an alternative, was to get a chrome tip for the trem arm. I think either Allparts for WD Music has them.

I had thought of the JP arm. Does it just pop in?

I guess the real question is...would they sell it to me if I don't have a JP?

The JP 6 arm will not fit my AL.

I'm sure somebody posted recently a link to an arm that didn't have a plastic knob.
I'll check to see if I can find it.

You could always go solid gold !!

HA. It was actually me that posted that. I got one in, and they are 5MM. Close, I know, but it doesn't fit.

 - I tried.

Shame that.

Edit
If that were me I'd put it in a vice and try filing the quarter of a mil off - you've nothing to loose?

At this point I would take pliers and pull the tip off. I did that with the tremolo arm on one of my old guitars, worked fine.
