Hi folks,

a question to the mighty forumites:

I have 2 MM90 equipped Axis models and I plan to convert one into a gold-top .
What I want to do is replace the MM90 covers with P90 covers in chrome. Has anyone ever tried to retrofit aftermarket P90 covers to MM90 pickups ?
How do they match considering polepiece spacing and overall dimensions ?!?!

Thank you so much for your info !!!

Cheers

YES. I did order chrome tops off of amazon.com and they fit perfectly.

This is the link to the ones I bought.

Woohoo - thankya guys so much !

...you might have seen my "Emergenza 2001" Axis Sport MM90 with that - let's say "DIFFERENT" :p - finish & graphics. (See pictures under the link in my sig...)
What I currently plan on doing is to make it a Gold-Top. The black MM90s would look a little bad in that, so I'll try out the chrome covers. I found a dealer in Germany who carries them, and yes - they're plastic (PVC) of course, with just chrome (paint ?!) coating. Otherwise they might affect the sound in a bad way if they were not actually made of German Silver or so...

I'm currently still researching what exactly to do and how to do it, but you'll be the first to know and see when it happens... ;) :D

Gold-Top MM90 hardtail Axis Sport with rosewood fretboard - no way ?!?

WAAAAAAY !

Thanks for the hints and for sharing your experiences !!!

Cheers
