really great idea, good thinking!

yeah they are good ideas! but the trick is how do we get the powers that be to go for something like this?? I know!! lol everybody just get a bunch of money orders and earmark them (BFR raffle) and just start sending them to EBMM. They'd be like, What the hell?? are we having a raffle for a bfr that we dont know about? what would really be cool is to have BP say "I guess we are now" lol

I didnt mean anything by comment either. I was really trying to do something nice. I buy and sell on ebay all the time and can sell this guitar easy. Again I thought it was an opertunity for someone on the forum to get a heck of a deal on a nice guitar. I do undertand that this could be looked at many different ways. I was never looking to make a killing on the guitar and my original thought was to limit the number of tickets so that would not happen.

Thanks I appreciate that. The funny thing is I am not all that big on selling it. The guitar has been in its case for a good while and I am very blessed and don’t need to sell it. This was really more about giving it to someone that would play it and give it a good home. I thought this would be a good way and place to accomplish this and it might be kind of fun and at the same time someone could get it for not much more than a couple of cups of Starbucks coffee.

If you guys do this separate from the forum Im all for it. I just cant have the forum competing with dealers and other resales. The other problem is that everyone would want to be able to do it and then the whole temor changes here

You could Use Ebay, right ?
Dunno how it works, but you often see "20 Available" etc. for multiple items.
So you could work out what you want, assign a price per ticket based on the number of tickets you want to make available, and then place a Buy It Now option on the tickets......

Then Spread the word on the forum, with a link to the auction ?

Auction duration may be an issue, and that option may only be available to some sellers ?........ but may be a possibility for you !
