I was thinking will a covered Axis Humbucker fit in the an MM90 position?

I'm wondering if about replacing the MM90's in an AL and was thinking of replacing them with the cover Axis Humbuckers. Will they fit in the body cavity?

No Glenn I'm afraid this will not be possible unless you accept to route the body

The MM90 is narrower than the humbucker. Keep in mind also that wood is playing a big part in the sound and by doing that you will have a different beast from the regular ALHH that is made of mahogany

hope this helps

Replacing MM90's in an AL???? You hear any strange rustling outside your window.......

Well you know Rob, I didn't hear you outside my house, but that doesn't mean anything, I was pretty beat last night.

Just thinking outside the box here. :D

I guess the only way to know for sure is to take a few measurements, I'll have to use my 20th covered pups and see.
