I was wondering what difference turning the screws on the MM90's will do to the sound? I think I'd like my bridge PU to be a little warmer sounding and I can either shim the PU, or thought if I turned the screws on the PU's themselves that it might do something. But I don't want to screw it up.

I compared the MM90's to my 69 SG Special P90's and the SG's PU's were a lot warmer sounding, but didn't have quite the bite that the MM90's had. I think if I could warm that bridge PU up more, i'd be really happy. It's funny cuz the bridge PU is a bit thin and not all that warm, but the sound is pretty nice. But when you go to the middle position, it's almost too warm, and the neck alone is the same way. Probl really nice for jazz or country, but not rock. However, I think these MM90's have some potential after all.

And to get the PU's out, do you do it from the back?? Oh wait... I think they unscrew from the top. Sweet.

Thanks!
Jason

PS. I'd call cust serv, but I'm assuming they are closed on Saturdays.

I guess my question should have been "SHOULD YOU". I asked my buddy Jimmie last night about it, he said that you could, but that they were probl set right at the factory.

But if asjusting them up would help the hotness or warmth of the PU, then I might try it. I'd probl rather just raise the PU height. I may not mess with it at all though!

Raising the pole pieces a tad may get you where you want.
Go slow and try a 1/2 turn at a time. Keep track of where you are at so you can go back if you need.

Hey, it's your guitar so if you like then give it a go. I'd probably raise the whole p'up if I were doing it, and sounds easily doable.

That said, FWIW I'm damn happy with the MM90s in my Axis Sport. Really blown away by the sound of that guitar and the p'ups are exactly where I'd want them. Clean to mean by rolling up the volume.
