Guys, have a look at my silo,I'll talk you through the mods,
First off I got this guitar Christmas time off forum member Brand X in a deal against another guitar,He informed me it was a 92 silo which Aziah confirmed.I then started the tear down and refit of some interesting upgrades.A local Luthier by the name of Gary Lewis performed most of neck work and custom made the pickguard for me.
He removed the lacquer finish and smooth sanded the neck ready for me to apply the true oil finish,it has 3 coats each rubbed down with micro mesh in between coats.
Next came the pickup upgrades, neck position is a dimarzio cruiser and the bridge is a WCR GodWood.I got both these pickups of ex forum member Wolf 5150 on a great deal. They've been wired so that the inside coils go to ground in the "out of phase"positions,we all know dimarzio but for those who are not familiar with WCR i have to tell you, this guy makes the finest boutique pickups I've ever used.next on the list was to find a way of installing the Graphtech Ghost LB6 bridge in an manner that needed no routing for The acoustic preamp and battery,i ended up sticking the preamp on the back of the tone pot with the supplied double sided sticky pad.The battery found its home in between the two single coils. Finally i found an old evh d tuner in my draw which was added.Let me know what you fella's think.
